Oz Farm, located in Point Arena, CA, is an organic farm surrounded by redwoods and close to the California coastline. The farm operates a flower farm, organic produce fields, and an apple orchard. It also serves as a venue for weddings, retreats, and overnight stays with nine on-site cabins. The website needed to communicate these offerings clearly while also providing essential functionality like a booking system for stays and events, as well as subscriptions for the farm’s CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program.
The website design uses bright colors to create an inviting, modern look. Hand-drawn, sketch-style elements reinforce the small-business, hands-on feel of the farm. These design choices give the site a personal and approachable character while maintaining a professional and organized layout for users.
High-quality photos of the farm’s landscapes, cabins, event spaces, and products were prominently featured throughout the site. These visuals showcase the farm as both a productive agricultural operation and a welcoming destination for events or overnight stays. The photos were carefully placed to highlight key offerings while supporting the website's usability and clean design.
This project balanced the need for an engaging design with practical functionality. The website effectively supports Oz Farm’s operations while making it easy for customers to explore, book, and connect with the farm’s diverse offerings.
The site is built with functionality in mind. It includes a booking system for cabin reservations and event inquiries, as well as a subscription portal for CSA boxes. The navigation is simple and intuitive, making it easy for visitors to find information, view availability, and make bookings or subscriptions without difficulty.
